Researches and evaluates work problems, and recommends solutions with regard to benefits administration.Organizes activities related to group health insurance plans and develops employee communications with regards to benefits.Onboards new hires and handles all aspects of benefits administration. Responds to and resolves complex, escalated employee benefit issues that involve benefits plan documents, policy interpretation and enforcement.Processes new hires, transfers, terminations and promotions utilizing a variety of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).Acts as a liaison between all health and benefits plan representatives and the Credit Union ensuring performance service levels are met. Assists management with analyzing existing benefit policies of the Credit Union, and prevailing practices among similar organizations, to establish competitive benefit programs.Audits, identifies and reconciles discrepancies in HRIS benefit calculations, deductions, data, and information. Serves as a subject matter expert, troubleshoots, and streamlines processes using automated systems and works with vendor to achieve resolution as needed. Collaborates with HRIS Specialist on more complex data management issues, reports and automation/efficiency projects.Works with systems such as ADP/Workforce Now, Sterling and other HRIS and is responsible for data integrity. Creates and maintains recurring customized reports in the HRIS as well as ad hoc benefits reporting.Performs compliance audits and record retention reviews on I-9s, Active employee files, Terminated employee files, medical files, etc. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred and/or relevant HR certifications. Minimum of five years' experience in benefits administration. Strong communication skills both verbal and written across all levels of the organization. Advanced experience with HRIS and experience troubleshooting HRIS issues. Comfortable with MS Office suite with intermediate Excel skills. Works independently with minimal supervision.#cb
