Job Description OnTrack Maryland, a program for young adults offered at Family Services, Inc., offers specialized programs for the early identification, evaluation, and treatment of adolescents and young adults who have started experiencing certain troubling thoughts and/or experiences, or exhibiting changes in behavior. The Recovery Coach provides psychotherapy that is based on cognitive and behavioral treatment principles and emphasizes resilience training, illness and wellness management, and general coping skills and family psychoeducation about psychosis and its treatment. Works with clients one-on-one and in groups. Depending on client needs, meets weekly to several time a week with clients. Determines duration and frequency of sessions based on the individual needs of each client by completing and updated client centered treatment plans. Provides education about psychosis and its treatment to relatives or other individuals to strengthen their capacity to aide in the client's recovery. Provides family therapy on an individual basis or through multi-family workshops and support groups. Uses Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT and insight oriented therapy to help client's reach their recovery goals. Works with clients to refine problem solving skills, improve ADL's and overall functioning. May also provide outreach services in the community to current clients and to identify potential clients. Using a framework that is empowering and cultivates a recovery oriented atmosphere a Recovery Coach is able to use structured behavioral interventions aimed at learning new skills and supporting behavior change such as: Social skills training Substance abuse treatment Behavioral activation Coping skills training Psychoeducation Able to work effectively and communicate on a Multidisciplinary treatment team. Respond to client crisis situations via ‘on-call' protocol. Organize and complete required protocol documentation such as client assessments. Qualifications: This position requires an experienced master's level clinician who is licensed in Maryland as an LCPC or LCSW-C. Three years of experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents and young adults. Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.
