This position is on the consulting staff of a government consulting firm headquartered in Tysons, VA. The position would be in direct support of Program Executive Office (PEO) Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) Strategic Initiatives Group (SIG). Work location is on-site at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Responsibilities Serves as the Solutions Architect supporting the Government PM as an architecture expert working with stakeholders, leadership and technical subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of mission strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets. Aligns technical strategy and planning with the business/mission goals for multiple projects efforts simultaneously. Ability to optimize IT solutions and understanding of business process and technology capabilities. Knowledge of shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information through the appropriate application of technology to include physical and cloud environments. Work to provide a consensus based enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable, and in synchronization with evolving mission needs for potential customers. Will work with solutions team and business development to provide innovative solutions presentations to various customers. Will assist datacenter/infrastructure teams in the proper application of technology solutions serving as the technology and data Subject Matter Expert (SME) position.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Responsible for clarifying business requirements, performing application analysis and design, and creating application/system documentationDevises or modifies procedures to solve the most complex problemsParticipates in and leads project planning sessions for modernization efforts with customers, business analysts, and team membersCollaborates with Government PM & technical team members to provide recommendations on system options, risks, cost/benefit analysis, and impact on cross-functional business goals and processes.Responsible for conceptual and high-level designs.Validates advanced and emerging technology solutions. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree and previous experience in a technical field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant IT experience and education on current technologies.Experience: Strong familiarity with aspects related to Solutions Architecture, Infrastructure Management, and DoD information systems experience. Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of internal and stakeholder project teams. Knowledge of applicable industry standards and frameworks such as ITIL, TOGAF, CoBIT, ISO, and FEAF. Past experience with Business Intelligence and Analytics, Virtual Desktop, and DISA experience. Familiarity with cloud services to include AWS, AZURE, Milcloud, and various transition methods. Clearance: Must have a fully adjudicated SECRET clearance at contract award.
