National Security Operations, Director, TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
LMI's National Security Operations Sub-Service Line offers government clients consulting solutions in national security mission support, mission analysis, and policy. The Director leads the development and enhancement of LMI's capabilities in National Security Operations, ensuring LMI continues to have the methods, tools, expertise, and cleared personnel to meet its government clients' current and emerging needs. The Director, National Security Operations, reports directly to the Vice President, Management Advisory Services. Responsibilities Define and lead the implementation of a strategic plan for LMI's National Security Operations Sub-Service Line. Build LMI's capabilities in the sub-service line and lead the development of innovative offerings that align with customers' strategy and missions. Work with LMI's client-facing markets to meet financial and delivery targets, by designing and deploying effective solutions and the right mix of sub-service line staff to deliver them. Support business development efforts to grow opportunities for LMI by providing technical and staffing input and architecting solutions. Collaborate with market leads to understand the needs of customers and develop capabilities to meet those needs. Foster the growth of the National Security Operations Sub-Service Line by evolving and promoting its solutions. Serve as a steward and spokesperson for LMI's national security operations capabilities. Ensure staff members effectively deliver capabilities of the sub-service line. Has responsibility for hiring, training, evaluating, and promoting staff members assigned to sub-service line, as well as facilitating staff deployment to markets. This includes building and managing a strong pipeline of cleared staff to be deployed to projects in the national security market. Qualifications Substantial expertise across multiple capability areas under National Security Operations, including experience in delivering these capabilities to government clients. Proven experience in designing and developing new consulting offerings, revitalizing staff capabilities and skills, and innovating to enhance the sub-service line portfolio of offerings. Strong ability to collaborate to get things done in a matrixed organization (eg, successful collaboration across division/groups). Experience leading, managing, and developing high- performing and dynamic teams to deliver on program requirements. Demonstrated experience managing a profit and loss and employee utilization is advantageous. Demonstrated strong cultural fit and value alignment with LMI as a not-for-profit organization with a mission to improve the management of government. Demonstrated leadership capability. Minimum 8 years' experience in the capability areas within the National Security Operations Sub-Service line. Advanced degree preferred. Government TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required for this position.
