Front Desk Agent
JOB OVERVIEW: Greet and register guests, provide prompt and courteous service, and close out guest accounts upon completion of stay to meet Crescent and brand high standards of quality. Hospitality driven individual. Must be able to work flexible shifts-AM or PM including weekdays, weekends and holidays. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attractions. 2. Complete guest registration and checkout process using a computer system while adhering to Crescent operating procedures. 3. Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods. Handle cash, make change and balance an assigned house bank. Accept and record vouchers, travelers checks, and other forms of payment. Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using the computer. 4. Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear communication. Input messages into the computer. Retrieve messages and communicate the content to the guest. Retrieve mail, small packages and facsimiles for customers as requested. 5. Field guest complaints; listen and extend assistance in order to resolve guest concerns. Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and heavy hotel activity. Plan and implement detailed steps by using experienced judgment and discretion. 6. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. 7. Perform any other job related duties as assigned. EOE M/F/D/V Individual must have the following * Great communication skills both written and verbal. * Ability to self direct with empowerment from management to resolve guest issues. * Work in a busy and at times stressful environment. * Ability to stand for minimum of 8 hours and could be as much as 12. * Minimum pushing pulling and lifting - could be as much as 40 pounds. * Attention to personal service, care, and respect for the guest must be primary goal. The individual must display this attitude at all times to be an exemplary leader for the desk staff and hotel. * Complete all assigned tasks as delegated by Dir. Of Front Desk * Complete and ensure all training is done by due date. * Strong computer skills and ability to work with efficient knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel (on a beginner level). * Minimum of 6 months of face-to-face customer service experience in a hospitality environment.
