Are you passionate about health care policy?National Journal s Presentation Center is growing and seeks a collaborative individual to distill public policy and political developments into polished graphical presentations.The Presentation Center produces PowerPoint-based policy research on the latest happenings in Washington, publishing content exclusively for senior public policy practitioners and government affairs executives.This position, which blends traditional research, publication, and consulting/advisory roles, demands a high intellectual metabolism. The ideal applicant will have experience translating complex policies and datasets into elegant written and visual summaries, as well as a background or demonstrated interest in health care or public health policy.Atlantic Media FellowshipAtlantic Media offers highly ambitious recent college graduates a unique full-time opportunity to participate in our Fellowship Program. This Program is a structured, year-long, paid fellowship for top-tier talent committed to careers in media in business or editorial functions. Additionally, the Atlantic Media Fellows participate in the Atlantic Media Academy, a comprehensive curriculum providing a 360-degree view of the modern media industry covering the editorial, operational, and economic sides of both magazine and digital journalism today.This Fellowship position will begin in July and will run through June 2019.Fellowship Responsibilities Include:Producing high-quality presentation content based on primary data sources and secondary news sources, including data-driven graphics and visualizationsExplaining public policy issues for a non-Washington audienceAnalyzing and synthesizing quantitative data from public sources and think tanksContextualizing and interpreting research findings within larger ideas, topics, and trendsExtracting insights from research for an executive audience, summarizing key findings and creating high-quality graphical representationsQualifications of the Ideal Candidate:Experience synthesizing quantitative and qualitative research and information into concise bullets and graphicsExperience or interest in creating graphical representations of dataDemonstrated interest in politics and public policy, especially health care and public healthProficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with some familiarity with dataset softwareExcellent academic recordWho an Atlantic Media Business Fellow Is:As a world-renowned enterprise that thinks and acts like a digital media startup, we place a premium on finding exceptional talent.
