Structural Trades Technician / Carpender
The George Mason University, (Facilities Department) is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person for a for two Structural Trades Technicians positions. Under supervision, the structural technician is responsible for the maintenance and installation of project framing, drywall, masonry, flooring, ceilings, and minor casework and repair of architectural building components to include but not limited to interiors, decks and walkways, roofs, gutter systems, and door hardware.

- Valid Driverâ€™s License
- High school graduation or equivalent Physical Requirements: Must be able to individually lift a minimum of 50 lbs and be able to, with assistance, move and transport materials and equipment weighing in excess of 200 lbs. He/she must be able to work in confined spaces requiring bending or stooping for long periods and be able to work from ladders or elevated platforms.
Preferred Qualifications: The following education and/or skill sets are preferred: Working knowledge of all phases of commercial construction methods, tools, materials, techniques, basic math and unit measure and a basic understanding of repair methods
- Carpenter Trade or vocational school training
- Ability to operate power, pneumatic, and powder actuated tools and a variety of hand tools.
