Marketing Manager II

This new hire will work in our US Consumer Products Division Headquarters, located in Hunt Valley, MD. The Marketing Manager will report to a Business Director. Responsibilities include direction, development and execution of strategic plans, in order to achieve business goals, for one of the highest revenue, most complex, strategic product groups in the McCormick portfolio. Overall responsibility includes volume & profit, budget, advertising, consumer & trade promotions, merchandising, packaging, new products and pricing. Responsibilities Manage P&L and budget of product groups (major revenue impact to Company) Develop comprehensive annual brand plans and present to divisional leadership; develop and lead transformational business changes (ie: Project Roll, H&W strategy) Monitor execution of plans and make course corrections as needed Provide direction to key cross-functional partners such as research, sales, product development, manufacturing, quality, finance, legal & advertising agencies Key strategic and tactical role in acquisitions and divestures, product quality improvements, new products and line extension development, testing, cost reduction, promotions, advertising and public relations. Develop pricing strategy Development, engagement & management of direct reports; mentoring of others Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related discipline required Demonstrated relevant skills & results in consumer packaged goods marketing, forecasting, advertising, market research, consumer & trade promotion, P&L management and business planning required; at least 5 years preferred Expert level understanding of concepts, principles and practices in Marketing and a sound understanding in other areas including Sales, Finance and Supply Chain. Deep understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape. Extensive experience building brands within the CPG industry. Demonstrated success creating and launching new related products/categories. Management and development of direct reports and team. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication and teamwork skills. High level analytical and project leadership experience with ability to manage multiple projects. Expertise in syndicated databases, market research, business & brand planning, advertising, finance, promotional activities and consumer communications. Developed communication & diplomacy skills required to guide, influence & convince others; strong relationship with Sales and external customers and agencies Preferred Qualifications: MBA Experience leading cross-function teams. .
