Champion Realty is searching for a Real Estate Attorney/Settlement Officer to oversee, implement and support the closing department processes and staff to ensure proper procedures are followed. Core responsibilities will be to manage staff, title processes, serve as legal liaison and to facilitate and conduct closings. We have been recognized by the Washington Post as one of the "Top Work Places" for the past 4 years in addition to receiving the Capital Gazette "Readers Choice" award for 4 years running. * Juris doctorate * Two to five years title closing experience at the table required * Valid Real Estate or Title Insurance licenses * One to two years of management experience, preferably in title * Strong personal computer skills * Effective oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills * Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities * A customer service focus, and the ability to work as a member in a team-oriented environment * Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently under deadline pressure * Able to occasionally work extra hours during peak times of the month.
