Administers the human resources activities for an office, Section or Program within a Division.1. Participates in the administration of human resources activities for assigned office, group, sector or section within a Division, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.2. Performs a variety of tasks in one or more functional areas of HR, including benefits, compensation, recruiting, professional development, and employee relations.3. Acts as a liaison between employees and HQ HR staff.4. Prepares Personnel Action Notices (PANs) and enters data into PeopleSoft.5. Runs queries and prepares various reports as requested by management.6. Facilitates new hire orientation sessions, and may prepare orientation packages.7. Develops knowledge of relevant human resources procedures and practices, and relevant labor laws.8. Travel to company locations and client sites may be required.9. Participates in special projects as required.With Government direction, create and maintain Official Personnel Files (OPFs) for all staff, detailees, and assignees.With Government direction, check-out and track checked-out Official Personnel Files.With Government direction, adhere to quality control processes that prevent loss of OPFs and maintenance of OPFs per OPM standards.Responsible for forwarding OPFs for staff employees who transfer to other Government agencies.Responsible for archiving OPFs for separated employees following Federal Government information management guidelines and controls.With Government direction, maintain files for other Federal Government employees or persons assigned through detail or intergovernmental personnel agreements.Responsible for requesting SF75 (Request for Preliminary Employment Data) forms for individuals transferring staff employees from external Government Agencies.Responsible for requesting the Official Personnel Files of direct Government transfers from another government Agency.Responsible for requesting appropriate documentation to transfer leave balances, adjust Federal Government service dates and adjust annual leave accruals for direct Government transfers.Assist in completing Employment Verification Requests for staff employees.Process personnel actions in the system of record and other databases.Other file room support functions, as tasked.Knowledge of the Federal Code of Regulations for official personnel file management, administration and related infomraiton management practices.0-2 years of related human resources experience.For more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology has served as a trusted provider of information technology, systems engineering, training and professional services to customers across federal, state, and local governments, and in the commercial sector.
