Qualified applicants must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to the next lower grade/pay band (FG/GS-12 or FV-H) in the Federal or non-Federal equivalent. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is that which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is typically in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes:
- Serving as a source to management regarding environmental review under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); OR
- Experience with preparing technical documentation for special purpose environmental laws and regulations, such as those related to aircraft noise; historic preservation; threatened and endangered species; water quality and wetlands; or air quality; OR
- Experience in emerging environmental considerations such as emissions reduction; or energy efficiency and renewable energy.
