Local DC law firm seeks to add a Human Resources Coordinator to their team.

Duties:

RECRUITMENT/EMPLOYMENT
- Assists in coordinating the recruitment process for positions
- Develops position postings
- Utilizes effective recruiting sources
- Follows-up on internal referrals
- Pre-screens applicants, administers skills testing, conducts initial interviews 
- Maintains up to date job descriptions for all staff positions
- Maintains applicant tracking database
- Communicates with applicants regarding the status of their applications 
- Arranges for temporary help, when needed by departments
- Conducts reference checks
- Sends out in-take notices, employee transfer & departure notices
- Provide back-up support to HR Specialist
- Conducts new hire orientation reviewing general Firm policies and procedures
- Assist with the coordination of employee relations events


HRIS MANAGEMENT/REPORTING
- Work with HRIS Data Analyst in entering all employee changes
- Interact with Payroll Department to ensure the smooth flow of documentation
- Adhere to the different pay cycles to ensure HR and benefit updates are processed timely
- Maintain staff  leave balances
- Complete unemployment and employee verification requests
- Prepare reports and statistics of workforce for management use
- Assist with the preparation compliance reports

COMPENSATION/PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS
- Compile data needed to participate in compensation surveys
- Prepare market data reports for all departments based on survey information
- Assist with the yearly staff evaluation set up and monitoring process

Must haves:

- Bachelor's degree in business or HR

- 5+ years of recent HR dept experience with progressive responsibilities

- HRIS - experience working with ADP Workforce Now

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Responsible, Professional and Self-Motivated
