The George Mason University English Department invites applications for English Adjunct Faculty for various part-time vacancies. Responsibilities: This position is a one-semester appointment, beginning Fall 2018, to teach one to three sections of composition. The department particularly needs faculty who can teach first-year composition and our 300-level advanced composition courses.

- M.A. in English (literature or writing and rhetoric) in-hand; and
- Experience teaching college composition. Preferred Qualifications:
- MFA in creative writing and/or PhD in English or Writing and Rhetoric
- Training and experience in online writing instruction (OWI) at the college level.
Note that candidates must be able to attend professional development workshops held in mid-August at the Fairfax campus in Virginia.
