Position Description:
The Senior Clinical Systems Analyst supports the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the Meditech EHR leveraging significant experience building and implementing various Meditech modules. Provides support for new initiatives and maintains systems to enhance patient care, increase operational efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance. The Senior Clinical Systems Analyst participates in and leads work groups to identify and employ technical and application initiatives for best practices and enhanced healthcare operations in alignment with UMC's mission & strategy. The Senior Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for researching, planning, coordinating and recommending software and system choices to meet business requirements. The analyst plays a vital role in the systems development process.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in computer systems design or computer science (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of application and systems support; 7+ years in Healthcare systems and analysis.
  • Experience with Meditech Magic strongly preferred.
  • Strong Meditech Magic dictionary building and CDS development skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio.
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with executives, enterprise-wide and group management, peers, and outside vendors. And, an ability to think outside the box.
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, organizational skills, and ability to analyze business problems and opportunities
  • Strong ability to work on and prioritize multiple, concurrent projects while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong report-writing skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Application development, testing, and project implementation.
  • Database skills.
  • Experience using SQL based reporting tools.
  • Ability to facilitate and design workflow processes.
  • Flexible and able to adjust and reprioritize as needed to meet patient care, business profitability, and utilization of various technology demands.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with little supervision.
