About The Job Sandy Spring Bank is currently recruiting a Portfolio Group Manager in the Credit Risk Management Department. If you are the chosen candidate, your primary responsibility includes underwriting, credit approval, administrative and review activities for the Banks's commercial portfolio. You will provide input into the development and implementation of sound loan policies as well as the communication of policies. You will work with Relationship Managers and Market Leaders and Senior Credit Officers on the approval of loans, ensuring that the credits adhere to existing credit policy guidelines. You will also evaluate both qualitative and quantitative factors to ensure all applicants are deemed credit-worthy. Areas of Focus: Management of Credit Administration Process Leadership Key Business Partner Compliance Required Skills: Minimum of 10 years of commercial credit experience with strong knowledge of credit analysis, loan documentation, accounting and real estate valuation. Must be able to read and analyze financial statements and complex legal documents, as well as communicate with bank personnel, bank examiners and auditors and lead others. Experience with personal computer systems to develop reports and analyses using standard desktop processing software. Must have strong, well-developed interpersonal skills. High level of analytical skills to conduct loan analyses and monitor progress in consideration of market trends, credit/interest rates, economic conditions and other related factors.
