This position on the consulting staff of a government consulting firm headquartered in Tysons, VA. Work location is on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA.Under the guidance of the assigned government lead, manage day to day operations and task management from GCSS-Army Increment 1, PM AESIP, and key stakeholders. Must be comfortable interacting with key leadership, articulate, and proactive. Must be able to work in a highly charged and fast paced environment to prioritize and complete assigned tasks with minimal guidance, seeking guidance and clarification as required. Interacts with staff at all levels and across organizational teams and subordinate programs. Candidate will be required to assist in the development and updating of program and acquisition documentation to include those required under the DOD 5000 series. Support will include helping clients develop specific acquisition strategies and evaluation plans. Lead or participate on a team of analysts supporting Army acquisition activities by conducting evaluations, recommending management improvements, and implementing solutions. Management evaluations may deal with policies, procedures, staffing, organization, information systems, productivity, and interaction with internal and external customers. Manages PdM GCSS-Army schedule, ensures PdM schedule changes are disseminated appropriately and timely, prepares read ahead materiel and compiles daily Smart Book and takes meeting notes and records taskers. Disseminates taskers to appropriate staff element. Coordinates PdM travel and files travel voucher. Manages correspondence and makes minor corrections to white papers and power point presentations. Responsibilities Provide technical and program management support to the Product Director and Deputy Product Director, GCSS-Army Increment 1. Evaluate and provide comments and recommendations on program and reporting documents and briefings, including Major Automated Information System (MAIS) statutory reporting, Defense Acquisition Execution Summary (DAES), Program Status Review (PSR), Configuration Steering Board (CBS) Review, Program Executive Officer Enterprise Information System Quarterly Performance Review (PEO EIS QPR), etc.Must be an expert in MS PowerPoint, specifically in development of briefing slides for Army and Department of Defense leadership - (examples or test may be required)With minimal oversight, manage taskers (due outs) through completion; tracks status in SharePoint, ensuring timely completion of tasks by subordinate elements and to higher headquarters. Seek and provide clarifying guidance as required from the task issuer. Serve as a first-line advisor to the subordinate program action officers regarding task completion.Draft documentation for leadership, requiring expert level skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint Outlook, EXCEL, Project) expertise to include providing O-6 PM with weekly highlights summarizing key events across the portfolio. Other specific types of documentation may include correspondence, memorandums, reports,Maintain action items and follows up on due outs for various types of Integrated Product Teams / Working IPTs (WIPTs) and significant product office meetings and working groups as deemed appropriate.Facilitate Division SharePoint implementation through the consistent use of the knowledge center as well as through analysis and recommendations for improvement of the pages, libraries, lists and web parts in use across the program.Assist Government representative(s) in the management and oversight of the PM AESIP SharePoint Acquisition requirements development, training, data migration, and configuration management of artifacts, eg Acquisition Documentation, Acquisition Milestone and Decision Reviews, Acquisition Reporting and Program Reviews, Program Schedule, etc.Ideal candidate will have at least five to ten years of practical experience in developing and implementing acquisition strategies IAW DoD 5000 series. Recent Army experience and relevant professional certifications a plus.Ability to distill data, reach conclusions, and present findings is required. Training or experience performing quantitative analysis is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. This includes ability to compose, write, and edit a variety of proposals, technical presentations, briefings, papers, management reports, and acquisition documents.Strong interpersonal and listening skills are required, with ability to develop and maintain professional relationships within our consulting firm and with our customers.Serve as an Action Officer for program related tasks requested by GCSS-Army Increment 1, PM AESIP, PEO EIS, Army, and external organizations. Consolidate input, adjudicate comments, and finalize formal GCSS-Army Aviation Logistics response. Provide support for team efforts to include coordination of meetings, teleconferences, preparation and dissemination of meeting invitations, meeting agenda, and documentation, and action item tracking.Perform in-processing of new hires and out-processing of exiting employees; to include orientation of government, military, and contractors. Provide general operational and administrative support to the Program Operations Division personnel and activities.Assist in organizing, formatting, typing, proofreading and editing briefings, reports, and manuals. Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree preferred.Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance.Candidate should have experience within the last 5 years as a Department of the Army Systems Coordinator (DASC) or as an Executive Officer to an O6 Colonel or above and understand the current workings within the Pentagon.Candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project planning and operational support for a government program/office, ideally in support of a US Army agency.Must possess understanding of and experience with US Army ACAT program office.Expertise in the use of various computer (hardware and software) and peripheral packages/devices to include Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Professional version.Availability for occasional travel to include local trips between contractor sites in the Richmond/Petersburg, VA area, and the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
