Law firm in Washington DC is seeking a Document Imaging Specialist to assist in their Records Department.

The Document Imaging Specialist is responsible for organizing, maintaining and reviewing the physical files for the purpose of imaging documents; utilizing industrial and/or office grade imaging equipment to convert physical documents into an electronic format and monitoring the quality of the converted documents to ensure the accuracy and completeness of electronic images.  This position also is responsible for the input of new client matters into the Firm’s Records Management system.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of records management and/or legal assistant experience
  • Experience with electronic files in a legal environment
  • Be able to type a minimum of 45 wpm
  • Have knowledge of scanning equipment
  • Be proficient regarding computer software applications, including programs and databases such as, Word, Excel, Filesite
  • Be able to handle a number of projects simultaneously
