UMUC seeks a Senior Video Producer to join a large in-house creative services organization that produces an expansive range of award-winning marketing assets including broadcast advertisements and content videos.
Strong candidates for the Senior Video Producer position have significant experience producing, directing and writing short form videos including broadcast commercials, and web videos. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative professional who enjoys creative brainstorming, is adept at presenting ideas to clients, can effectively manage schedules and budgets, write scripts and creative treatments, direct location and studio shoots, and oversee post-production.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Produce, direct and write UMUC broadcast commercials, web and event videos
Act as creative director for video projects, assess client needs, and develop creative and effective video proposals that include a treatment, schedule and budget
Create and manage all facets of a production including: conducting interviews, scripting, casting, sourcing locations, directing talent and production crew on location or in the studio
Drive the creative direction with editors in post-production
Oversee changes to scripts and edits based on client feedback
Some evening and weekend work is required
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, preferably in Television, Communications or a related field
Also 8 to 12 years of professional experience as a video producer, director and writer, preferably for an ad agency or video production company
Strong writing skills
The ability to develop and implement creative treatments, schedules and budgets of various scopes and sizes
Strong capability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects while delivering high level results
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
An understanding of 4K cameras, RAW recording workflow and Adobe Premier
Familiarity with digital file specs including formats and frame rates

This position requires travel to production locations in DC, Maryland and/or Virginia and occasional travel outside the DMV. UMUC's travel policy allows for travel reimbursement from our Adelphi offices or your home to the location, whichever is closer.
