We are currently seeking a Vice President to join our Public Institutions Group located in Washington, DC. About Public Institutions: Jones Lang LaSalle's Public Institutions group identifies and implements strategies that allow public sector organizations and institutions of higher education to fully leverage their real property in close alignment with their organizational missions. Projects vary greatly in subject and complexity - the group's areas of expertise include: Financial and strategic feasibility analysis Real estate strategy Public-private partnerships Transaction Management (Acquisitions/Dispositions/Sale-Leaseback/Leasing) Highest and best use studies Master planning Large-scale, mixed use development advisory and financial oversight Analysis of financing / ownership structures Asset and portfolio management PI employs more than 400 professionals in locations throughout the US and abroad, with a proven track record of success conducting work for more than 200 government and higher education clients. Responsibilities: Advise on all aspects of large-scale public sector projects, including transaction management, document review, construction oversight, development and finance review. Review and analyze legal documents, financial reports, and operating plans as part of the due diligence process, negotiations, and/or ongoing portfolio management Develop pro forma financial models based on analysis of economic, demographic and real estate market data Manage client relationships, including communications and meeting management Prepare client deliverables, including reports and presentations Perform highest and best use analysis and project feasibility analysis on a variety of real estate types Lead significant client engagements Be actively involved in marketing and selling real estate services Prepare proposals and presentations in response to requests for qualifications (RFQ) / requests for proposals (RFP) on behalf of the firm Qualifications: Bachelors degree in finance, real estate or related field; MBA/Masters RE preferred At least eight (8) years' experience in commercial, public sector, or higher education real estate OR 4 -5 years' experience and a MBA Significant client and project management experience Experience with real estate feasibility and economic impact analysis Strong experience creating and analyzing development pro-formas Experience creating and analyzing real estate delivery and service solicitations Strong financial/analytical skills related to real estate Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
