Intelsat's Rotational Program is designed for recent graduates, like yourself, to help explore various positions across Intelsat's Engineering, Analytic or Commercial departments.

As an Associate of the Rotational program, you will be placed in 3 roles among your chosen track, completed across a 24 month period. This will grant you with a fresh perspective into the broader communications industry and the day-to-day responsibilities of your selected career path.

We are committed to providing you with a wide range of industry exposure and the opportunity to be placed in one of the departments upon successful completion of the program.

Intelsat's Rotational Program: Commercial Track

Through our Commercial Rotation, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on Intelsat within a 24 month period.  Every 8 months you will explore a new department, including Intelsat's Digital Marketing, Financial Planning and Corporate Strategy teams. This diverse foundation will provide you with professional growth, exposure to the broader communications industry, and will further develop your business acumen. Upon successful completion of the 24 month program, you will be promoted and placed accordingly into a role that will align with and build upon your experience.

As an Associate in the Rotational Program, you will contribute to many facets of the organization while learning about Intelsat's overall business. Some opportunities include:

  • Comprehensive Orientation and inclusive training and coaching throughout the program
  • Roundtable discussions with key members of the organization
  • Attend guest speaker events to enhance business perspective
  • Deliver a presentation upon conclusion of each 8 month rotation

The following knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered for the role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Interest in strategy frameworks (e.g., Porter's Five Forces, SWOT, Value Chain Analysis)
  • Ability to conduct market research and analysis
  • Interested in financial analysis evaluating various investments and the rate of return, return on investment, and net present value
  • Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly (exposure to CRM systems, digital analytics tool is preferred)
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, with a strong sense of deadline and deliverable urgency
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, required
  • Illustrates diplomacy and maturity in relating and interacting with people at all levels
  • Previous leadership experience in extracurricular activities, preferred 

Job Details:

Months 1-8 as an Associate Financial Analyst:

As an Associate in the Financial Planning and Analysis team, you will serve as a liaison between the Business Operations and Finance organizations, by analyzing, reporting and interpreting financial data to support informed decision making. 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing monthly financial results packages for budget holders and analyzing business drivers of material variances; working with manager and partners to establish action plans to address them.
  • Developing operating expense and capital budgets in coordination with business partners.  Consolidating, analyzing, revising and presenting budget submissions to management.


Months 8-16 as an Associate Corporate Strategist:

As an Associate in the Corporate Strategy, you will help the team to formulate, develop, and communicate Intelsat's Corporate Strategy across the organization.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting an overarching analysis of the Telecommunications, Media, and Telecommunications to identify key trends and applications
  • Evaluating the end-to-end business value chain of our key customers to give us greater insight into buying patterns and market pressures facing our customers
  • Evaluate merger & acquisition opportunities


Months 16-24 as an Associate Marketing Analyst:

As an Associate in the Marketing team, you will assist and manage various digital marketing projects for Intelsat's Digital Marketing Department.


Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Examining campaign return on investment; interpreting campaign data, business impact, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and formulating reports to share metrics with wider marketing team.
  • Collecting data on customers, competitors and market place and consolidating information into actionable items, reports and presentations
