Position: Consular Clerk
Organization: Embassy of the Republic of Singapore, Washington D.C.
The Consular Clerk plays an integral role in the Singapore Embassy in Washington, DC by assisting the Administrative team in handling consular, visas and notary functions of the Embassy.
As Receptionist/Consular Clerk, you will provide information to telephone, e-mail and front-counter enquiries regarding consular, visas, and notary services provided by the Embassy.
The Consular Clerk will also assist the Administrative team in other functions such as covering for the Consular Executive and receptionist in their absence, and taking on adhoc duties during official events.
This position requires candidates to be proficient in both written and spoken English. You will need to multi-task, have an eye for detail and be a good team player capable of working independently. This position will also require you to exhibit tact and diplomacy when interacting with the public. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is required.
