Visitor Welcome Center Supervisor
This position is contingent upon contract award. Overview: Olgoonik's role will be to support the Security and Intelligence Directorate (SID) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). In fulfilling this responsibility we will offer support services in developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving programs that complement the DARPA mission. Our mission will be responsible for facilitating the secure and successful accomplishments of the SID mission, and protecting DARPA personnel, information, and property. We will provide business continuity that fully comply with Public Law and National Policy and applicable Executive Orders, and Department of Defense Directives, instructions and regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Receive, process, and escort US and Foreign National personnel that visit DARPA and to document each visitor and each visit. Conduct a series of questions for each visitor to determine visitor's identity and citizenship. Conduct security inspections to determine if the visitor has any unauthorized devices in their possession and verify the visit with a DARPA host. Make a determination the appropriate actions to allow or deny the visit. If allowed, provide visitor identification badge with the appropriate permission to enter and carry any equipment/and or items into the facility. Escort the visitor to the DARPA Point of Contact (POC). Use computer systems to verify identity, clearances, and visit authorization and to document the visitor's identity to include taking a photograph of the visitor. Schedule the workforce. Prepare and provide briefings. Draft and coordinate security policies and procedures. Good customer service skills. Supervisory Responsibilities: May be required to supervise other contract staff. Education and Training: High school diploma/GED, Associate Degree preferred. Successful completion of the requirements for Preventing Disease Transmission (ie, blood-borne pathogens); successful completion of all training required by the contract. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have the capability to successfully manage and supervise a security officer force of a minimum of 5 personnel to complete tasks relating to the administration, planning, operating, scheduling, coordinating, overseeing, and problem solving of daily matters. Must have a minimum of 3 years supervising visitor control personnel in a classified DoD environment, with two years being served immediately prior to working on this contract, or related experience, such as military police or law enforcement may be used to satisfy this requirement, if it is related to supervising visitor control personnel, guard force, physical security or law enforcement operations in the Federal Government or private sector. Must have the ability to multitask and communicate effectively. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Qualified and certified (licensed) as an unarmed Security Officers in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of Virginia, certified in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) First Responder - Awareness Level, and certified to use and operate X-Ray and Magnetometer devices. Security Clearance: TOP SECRET Clearance Level Required Must have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance Must have a current US Government Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (less than 4-1/2 years old) or be able to successfully complete a US government administered Single Scope Background Investigation. Must be a US Citizen. Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals.
