Financial Services Advisor II
This position is responsible for assisting new and existing customers with their immediate, short term and long term financial needs through the proper handling of transactions, new account openings, maintenance requests, credit requests, and appropriate partner referrals. This position regularly combines the transaction and account opening functions, knowledge, skills and abilities. Position Accountabilities *Participate in the Bank's Customer Relationship Profitability Management Program (CRPM) by identifying existing, new, and potential customers' needs and refer to other lines of business such as Mortgage, Investments, Insurance, Small Business, and Commercial Lending as needed. *Promote and sell the bank's products and services such as cashier's checks, traveler's checks, and savings bonds. *Effectively and efficiently handle the processing of account openings, account transactions, account maintenance and credit requests. *Promote the bank's products and services by engaging customers through appropriate sales activities (PAs, Aisle Marketing, Outbound Calling and Customer Needs Assessments). *Promote the branch's overall growth through the development and retention of new and existing customers. *Responsible for attaining personal sales goals. *Provide outstanding customer experience and effectively resolve customer issues regarding account information. *Perform paying and receiving functions within established authorities and open new accounts. *Place hold on deposits and accounts as necessary. *Identify red flags to detect fraud and prevent losses to the bank. *Balance cash each day according to established schedule and performance standards. *Research and respond to customer inquiries regarding basic account information as needed. *Participate in branch contests and sales promotions. *Manage key branch reports. (ie Charge Offs, Overdrafts, Insufficient Funds, Balance Change) *Participate in monthly conference calls and regional meetings to keep the team informed of all operational, procedural or policy changes. *Provide customers with notary services as needed. *May provide assistance to fellow teammates during peak periods or staffing emergencies. *Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with Union Bankshares' BSA/AML Policy and Procedures.
