Technical Security Specialist
This position is contingent upon contract award. Overview: Olgoonik's role will be to support the Security and Intelligence Directorate (SID) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). In fulfilling this responsibility we will offer support services in developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving programs that complement the DARPA mission. Our mission will be responsible for facilitating the secure and successful accomplishments of the SID mission, and protecting DARPA personnel, information, and property. We will provide business continuity that fully comply with Public Law and National Policy and applicable Executive Orders, and Department of Defense Directives, instructions and regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Provide support as directed by DARPA and assist in identifying programs, situations, and activities that require the application of TSCM and TEMPEST. Offer recommendations for approval for the use of these techniques and upon approval apply, and conduct within capabilities. Provide support at headquarters and selected contractor sites that support DARPA technical program activities. Aid in the coordination of approved or required TSCM and TEMPEST activities. Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position. Education and/or Experience: Minimum of 7 years' of continuous TSCM experience immediately preceding work in this contract. Must have completed the Interagency Training Center's (ITC) TSCM Fundamentals /course prior to performing TSCM functions on this contract. Successfully completed a course in electronics fundamentals such as electronics, avionics, telephone systems operations and maintenance, information systems operations and maintenance, and/or alarm systems operation and maintenance. Attend annual refresher course or other specialized training to remain proficient and knowledgeable concerning unusual or new technical penetration and/or detection techniques Must be 21 years or older Hearing acuity tests results per audiometer test not to exceed 30 decibels (AS A. or equivalent ISO) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Must be able to hear whispered voices at 15 ft., with each ear without the use of a hearing aid. Vision must be a minimum of 20/30 in one eye and 20/20 in the other eye, distance, near, through normal vision or correction measures. Color perception test results, employing the pseudo-isochromatic plates for testing color perception, not to exceed four incorrect identifications out of fourteen test plates. Free from any physical problems which materially hinder manual dexterity. Applicant must have normal range of motion in all extremities. A complete medical examination showing no medical reason for the applicant to be unable to complete rigorous training and performance of duties to include the following: ability to lift forty pounds overhead, using both arms; ability to carry forty pounds in a manner similar to carrying a suitcase; ability to climb a six-foot ladder; ability to crawl beneath a three-foot barrier. High school diploma, Associate Degree preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possess extensive knowledge in investigations, electronics, security evaluation, and construction as it relates to the DoDI 5240.05 (TSCM). Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: N/A Security Clearance: TOP SECRET Clearance Level Required. Must have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance. Must have a current US Government Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (less than 4-1/2 years old) or be able to successfully complete a US government administered Single Scope Background Investigation. Must be a US Citizen. Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals.
