The Door Person is the first and last impression of Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto for guests. The Door Person is responsible for creating an unparalleled arrival and departure experience. Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner upon arrival and departure. Ability to open vehicle and hotel doors and assist guests exiting from vehicles and entering into vehicles. Unload (or load) luggage, tag luggage and issue claim tickets. Direct delivery persons to the appropriate areas for drop off. Escort and direct guests to areas of the hotel and locations within the city. Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodate special requests whenever possible; assist guests in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc. Ensure the smooth flow of all traffic in and out of the drive, issue claim tickets to guests to be valet parked, explain valet parking services, and direct valet parking staff to park and retrieve vehicles. Assist guests with limousines and taxis. Provide a high level of cleanliness in the drive. Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation. Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Bell Staff. Must have the ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff. Abide by the policies and procedures as set out in the Associate Handbook and any other applicable policies. Must work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and management. Attend all scheduled shifts, including shift work and weekend work in accordance with the schedules. Must have a passion for delivering outstanding luxury service. Must be organized and detail-oriented. Must be able to stand for an entire shift in hot weather, inclement or very cold weather.
