This is a Teleworking position VAO SME is responsible for the research and writing of all assigned VAO publications to The ensure high-quality, value-added Acquisition content that is engaging and delivered through the Virtual Acquisition Office (TM) (VAO) information service, Applied Learning Online (TM) (ALO) and other knowledge resources and tools or packages that will be offered by the VAO. We are looking for Subject Matter Expert in Government Acquisition with 10-20 years of experience in government procurements with a deep understanding of the FAR and various agency regulations surrounding the 1102 profession. We are looking for someone with experience in construction contracting. The position requires advanced capability in research, writing, and revision of professional content related to federal acquisition. The position also requires leveraging analytics to inform and build on user/reader interest, usage patterns and value delivered to experiment and mature a content agenda. Roles and Responsibilities: The VAO Content Writer will be responsible for daily research and writing of VAO publications, webinars, templates, and checklist. Primary duties include: . Participate in team member reviews of colleagues' . Participate in the planning, research, delivery of publications, webinars, news, and other VAO content or training events as assigned Seek ways to "Research once, deliver many," so that content is leveraged and repurposed as much as possible to add value . Contribute to development and maintenance of the research agenda by the VAO Content Manager; contribute to the ideation and creation of content . Look for and act on opportunities to leverage research findings to add value to other areas of VAO . Contribute to other areas of the service (Advisories, webinars, etc.), as requested, as workload allows . Research, develop and deliver high-quality, well-researched Inquiry Responses that meet the specific needs of each client as assigned . Prefer applicant be a former 1102, but not required . Prefer applicant to have construction contracting experience . Bachelor's Degree in Writing, Government, Acquisition or related field (or 15+ years' experience as an 1102 in the Government) . 10-20 years of experience in government procurements . Expert-level experience in MS Office, Content Management Systems, and publication tools
