Mental Health TherapistOMHC Germantown, MarylandMental Health Therapist We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to serve our clients in Upper Montgomery County. This is a COMMUNITY-BASEDposition. Bilingual a plus!SPECIFIC ROLES OF THE MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST INCLUDE:Psychotherapy to individuals & FamiliesProviding direct therapeutic counseling services to clientsCollaborating with our social services team to deliver the best possible comprehensive careEstablishing and maintaining empowering, trusting relationships with youth, adults and their families through individual, family, and group psychotherapyJOB RESPONSIBILITIESTherapistwill be responsible for providing individual, family, and/or group therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Completing required documentation and reports including session notes, treatment plans, client outcome questionnaires, and discharge summaries. Conducting intake assessments as needed.Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in social work, counseling or psychology from an accredited college or university and current license to practice (LGSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, LCPC) in Maryland and at least one year experience in the mental health field. Experience providing therapeutic services to children and families preferred. At least one year post-graduate experience preferred. $35-45 per session, depending relevant on experience.As a Mental Health Therapist you will apply your experience to address and care for the needs of our clients.SPECIFIC DUTIES OF THE MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST INCLUDE:Evaluating clients physical or mental condition, based on review of client informationMaintaining confidentiality of records relating to clients treatmentAssessing patients for risk of suicide attemptsEncouraging clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, helping them to develop insight into themselves or their relationshipsCollecting information about clients through interviews, observation, or testsCounseling clients or patients, individually or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changesGuiding clients in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problemsDeveloping and implementing treatment plans Contemporary Family Services Inc is an equal opportunity employer.
