Job Responsibilities:Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in Health Care or Assisted Living.Cleans and sanitizes public restrooms and residents' bathrooms, including, cleaning, washing, sanitizing, and/or polishing bathroom fixtures.Cleans/polishes furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc. in residents' rooms, recreational areas, etc. daily as instructed.Cleans windows/mirrors in residents rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms and entrance/exit ways.Cleans floors to include vacuuming, spot cleaning, deodorizing and disinfecting.Cleans walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, etc.Removes dirt. dust, grease, film, etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.Dusts and polishes all surfaces, including high and horizontal surfaces, furniture and accessories in public areas and resident rooms.Performs assigned laundry tasks in accordance with established laundry procedures.Reports all accidents/incidents to supervisor no matter how minor they may be.Follows established safety regulations, to include fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, use of labels and MSDS, hand washing procedures, etc.Ensures that work/assignment areas are clean and free of hazardous objects and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored at all times.Follows established policies governing the proper use and disposal of personal protective equipment and infectious * wastes.Provides such excellent customer service that associate is viewed as a role model of service and hospitality.Adheres to Standards of Attendance.Performs other duties, assigned.Experience:Six months to one year general housekeeping experience preferred.Experience in health care, hospitality, or related industry preferred.Education:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
