This position has responsibility for enterprise-wide Executive Compensation for the Corporation. The Director of Executive Compensation is responsible for the design and implementation of the Company's executive compensation program, including base salary, short and long term incentive compensation for Lockheed Martin's leadership. This position also oversees Lockheed Martin's CD&A of the Company's proxy statement and the development of materials for the Management Development & Compensation Committee (MDCC) meetings. This position represents Executive Compensation to other corporate organizations including Corporate Tax, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Corporate Secretary, and Government Finance. In addition to the above responsibilities, the Director of Executive Compensation will help oversee Benchmarking, Compliance and Equity Administration activities. This position is based in our corporate offices in Bethesda, MD and reports to the Vice President of Compensation and Performance Management. Key responsibilities include: Development and implementation of executive compensation strategies aligned with the organizations strategies and objectives, consult with business/HR Leaders on total rewards programs Ensuring policies are consistent with the organizations business/people strategies and comply with government regulations Maintaining progressive knowledge of executive compensation best practices Managing vendor relationships Preparation of materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors sessions Overseeing governance related compliance matters including audit readiness and emerging changes in Compensation Committee governance (eg new legislation) including CD&A trends for disclosure in proxy by the Compensation Committee Providing consultation to HR senior leadership partners and key business stakeholders on executive compensation matters Supporting merger and acquisition human resource due diligence and integration teams on executive compensation matter Development, design, and deployment of the common systems and processes used to support enterprise-wide compensation programs Overseeing the job architecture, compensation structures, and external benchmarking program Providing thought leadership, mentoring and guidance to extended team Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required At least 10 years of Compensation experience with at least 5 years' experience in executive compensation At least 5 years of leadership experience with managing teams Must demonstrate expertise in working with executive leadership and senior management Must demonstrate a progressive knowledge of regulatory and legislative factors impacting executive compensation & rewards programs Demonstrated track record of leadership skills Desired skills Well-developed interpersonal, influencing and relationship building skills, particularly with senior management, HR leadership and Board/Compensation Committee Experience with equity administration Demonstrated consultative skills and experience influencing business decisions Demonstrated experience building strong team and client relationships Excellent collaboration skills across cross-functional and external reporting relationships Experience leading virtual, multiple project teams (eg 5-10) through complex change programs Corporate and consulting compensation experience preferred Master's Degree and/or CCP/CECP/GPHR certification preferred Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent writing, editing and oral communications skills and with emphasis on attention detail High level of professional credibility and integrity Ability to work effectively in a matrix global environment
