    GS/GL-09: Applicants must have 1 year equivalent to at least GS/GL-7 and/or master's or equivalent graduate degree or2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

    Applicants should have at least one year of full-time professional work experience in cybersecurity or hold a degree in one of the following areas of study: computer science, computer engineering, or cybersecurity. Highly competitive applicants have recognized certifications such as, but not limited to: GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
