The American Physiological Society (APS), a non-profit scientific member society, is seeking a Marketing Assistant responsible for providing overall marketing support to the Marketing and Communications (MarComm) Department in the development and implementation of the marketing and promotional strategy for various APS programs, products and services. Major duties include, but are not limited to:  

  • Collaborating on the design and/or production of various APS departments’ promotional projects that cross-promote relevant programs
  • Supporting the preparation of the APS exhibits program for multiple meetings including the Society’s annual meeting
  • Coordinating paid and filler advertising for all APS publications and platforms
  • Monitoring and updating the Google Grant program and ads
  • Handling the operations of the APS MarComm merchandise and promotional giveaway items

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • Expert communication and interpersonal kills (written and oral)
  • Expert organizational and time management skills
  • Expert graphic skills (Adobe Acrobat Suite including InDesign and Photoshop)
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt
  • Proficient computer and technical skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, proofreading/editing
