The University of Maryland (UMD) seeks a Manager of Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) for the campus-wide implementation of Salesforce. This individual will report within the Division of Information Technology (DIT) and is responsible for the development, execution, and continuous refinement of enterprise functionality. Additionally, this individual will ensure the progression and iteration of the CRM roadmap and strategies. The Manager prepares and guides the CRM roadmap and introduces new capabilities for the purpose of meeting emerging business needs and market trends. In this capacity, this position shares new and emerging CRM best practices across the industry in order to give UMD a competitive edge. This position demands extensive cross-functional collaboration, good communication skills, excellent project managerial skills, creative skills, and a process-focused aptitude that will enable her/him to effectively execute multiple responsibilities and deliverables. This position also leads the design of the CRM platforms, structures, and architecture in order to guarantee that the University’s relationships with its numerous constituents are carried out seamlessly across UMD. The ideal candidate will be capable of building mutually beneficial relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

EXPERIENCE

10 years of relevant work experience managing scope, resources, timeline, and budget for large scale technical programs/projects, which includes experience in implementing Salesforce in institutions of higher education and/or corporations, experience using Salesforce Sales, Service and Marketing Cloud products, and 1-3 years managerial experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of CRM technology, strategy and best practices.

Knowledge of Salesforce Sales, Service and Marketing Cloud products.

Skill in communicating effectively orally, and in writing.

Leadership ability.

Ability to manage, integrate and implement large scale enterprise-wide IT applications, systems and/or technologies.

Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships internally at all levels of the enterprise, and externally with vendor.

Ability to manage complex enterprise-wide projects.

Ability to manage time wisely and meet tight deadlines.

 

Preferences:

Preferred Qualifications Include:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline. 
- Holds the Salesforce System Administrator certification. 

Physical demands: work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Some periods of time may be spent in computer/server rooms.
