Museum Attendant – Summer Seasonal
Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens
14 – 28 hours per week – Must be available weekend days.
Here at Hillwood, advancing our mission of preserving and interpreting Marjorie Post’s life story, her magnificent collection of fine and decorative arts, and her beautifully landscaped estate, requires a team effort and the talents of a diverse, highly engaged group of people. We are a passionate organization, proud of our reputation as one of Washington’s top cultural destinations where visitor service is all about making sure our guests have a great experience.
Summer is a busy time here, and we are looking for a few arts oriented people to serve as Museum Attendants. You will circulate in an assigned area and/or sit a fixed post. You must be approachable, as you can expect visitor interaction. You will relay any emergency information to Security for their response. You will be expected to familiarize yourself with the collection and enforce rules related to such things as touching objects, use of selfie-sticks, coats, bags etc.
A complete list of responsibilities, requirements and how to submit your resume to be considered for the position can be found on our website (www.hillwoodmuseum.org) under “Jobs & volunteering.”
We are a progressive, equal opportunity employer and all candidates are encouraged to apply. So, come work “Where Fabulous Lives!” We look forward to hearing from you.
