The Director will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and is responsible for providing strategic leadership and administration in the areas of patient care, education, safety and quality in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice, utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. The Director will promote a professional practice environment and develop and maintain collegial and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the institution to positively impact the business of clinical operations, nursing and patient care outcomes. These partnerships include ongoing collaboration with physician, facility and organizational leaders. Responsibilities include all aspects of clinical operations, clinician and patient/family education, customer service, patient safety, financial outcomes, and quality outcome management and regulatory compliance.
Master's degree or within 2 years of hire into position
Certification in leadership or nursing administration within 1 year of hire into position
Degree in nursing (BSN or MSN)
Actively participates in professional organizations;
8 years as RN including 3 years as a nurse leader in the specialty area ; exp. in systems level
Current Maryland State nursing license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue. In order to promote and maintain a healthy work environment, We will not hire applicants for employment who either state that they are nicotine users or who test positive for nicotine use.
