Environmental Specialist, Junior

Key Role:
Support DoD environmental programs. Monitor and audit company operations on a regular basis to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, including CERCLA, CAA, and RCRA. Maintain required environmental operation procedures to ensure company and employee awareness, comprehension, and adherence to approved health, safety, and environmental practices. Maintain a program for issuing empty and receiving full hazardous waste containers. Coordinate packaging, labeling, and transpiration of hazardous waste to an approved treatment, storage, or disposal facility. Prepare and submit necessary government paperwork.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Ability to leverage consulting expertise, including analysis, policy writing, client support, and oral and written presentations
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, including NEPA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, RCRA, CERCLA, and executive orders

-Secret clearance

-BS degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
