This position will monitor assigned accounts to assure timeliness and accuracy of payments. Obtain appropriate approval of invoices and review for accuracy of information. Incumbent will assist with preparation and production of 1099’s. Coordinate activities of A/P Department when the supervisor is out of the office: Ability to independently manage all check runs. Provide support to other agency divisions in researching disbursement issues.   Will review batches for accuracy and print check.  Will be responsible for accuracy and timely payment of invoices.  Will handle escalated accounts payable issues and serve as a reliable backup to accounts payable supervisor. Will facilitate the training of new employees with the department
