Responsibilities

2/3 GA: The Academic Affairs Main Office invites applications for a Graduate Assistantship beginning Spring semester, 2018, working 210 hours (14 hrs per week) each semester of the assistantship for a waiver of 6 graduate credits each semester of the assistantship.

The successful candidate is expected to conduct research on several projects throughout the semester. Research projects include gathering data from sources such as peer and aspirant institutions, AACU, EAB reports, documents, and websites. Additional work relating to research includes developing surveys and preparing professional reports. The position also requires updating Academic Affairs materials and assisting with the planning of Academic Affairs events and office organization.

Minimum Qualifications

University required minimum qualifications:
• You must be accepted into Marymount as a graduate student
• You must be registered for at least 6 graduate credits during any semester in which you are awarded a GA position.
• For current students, graduate GPA must be at least 3.0. For entering graduate students, undergraduate GPA must be at least 3.0.

Preferred Qualifications

• Students enrolled full-time are given preference over part-time.
• Strong skills in research, writing, and interpersonal communication.
• Initiative and ability to work independently, including creative problem solving.
• Good computer skills (word, excel, powerpoint); familiar with webpage design and editing.
• Excellent attention to detail.
