INTERN, MEDIA ASSET INGESTION

POSITION SUMMARY:

The intern, Media Asset Ingestion, under instructions and supervision of the Manager, will ingest and catalogue CI’s library of digital video and stills content in CI’s Vault and new Cat DV Media Asset Management System.

She/he will Provide support to the Creative and Visual Storytelling Teams by searching, identifying and providing visuals in both mediums as requested. In addition, Intern may also provide support to the Creative Team with visual research and storytelling.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Ingesting and cataloguing digital visual content, and project assets in CI’s Vault and new CatDV Media Asset Management System. Duties include entering keywords according to Metadata Ingest Guide, correct geographical location, good and succinct descriptions of footage clips, backing up and archiving clips to tape library. Providing support to Creative/Visual Storytelling Teams in searching, identifying and providing visuals as requested. Research and storytelling support to Creative Team.
 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

    This position is based in the CI-Arlington office. Normal office environment.
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

    Keen attention to detail. Knowledge of global geographies. Excellent spelling and orthography skills. Good/positive attitude.
Preferred:

    Basic video post-production editing workflows. Experience with natural history and ecosystem conservation jargon.
