Position Overview
Freddie Mac’s Single-Family Division is currently seeking an Enterprise Data Strategy & Governance Senior to support development in SAS DataFlux and/or Informatica Data Quality (IDQ). The Single-Family Data Governance & Management organization (‘SF DG&M’) is responsible for providing governance standards and forums over data and metadata used in business processes, financial and regulatory reporting.
One of the goals of this group is to automate data validations performed manually across the division to ensure that there are automated controls in place designed to meet Freddie Mac standards and audit requirements. The team automates using DataFlux and IDQ as well as providing technical support to segments after the automated solution has been deployed.

Responsibilities include:

*Design and implement solutions using DataFlux/IDQ based on user requirements
*Work with change management teams on creating/modifying business requirements document
*Create detailed design documentation
*Perform unit testing and integration testing and document test results
*Working collaboratively with customers, as well as internal and external stakeholders
*Participate in weekly status meetings to report the progress of the projects
*Perform code review and make necessary recommendations
*Guide other team members in designing optimal solutions and resolving any code issues
*Provide consulting and advisory services to application support team and project teams *Working collaboratively with customers, as well as internal and external stakeholders

Basic Requirements
*5 to 7 years of related experience
*Bachelor’s Degree in a business (Finance, Economics, Business Administration) or technology discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems)
*2+ years of experience in data analysis, data visualization, data science, or data mining
*3+ years of experience with SQL or similar relational database tools
*Demonstrated proficiency using Unix/Linux Shell Script
*Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
*Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, accuracy and accountability
*Must be able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, identify and escalate issues appropriately to supervisors and management, and assimilate constructive feedback
*Self-starter with the ability to work independently or within a dynamic team environment
*Experience mentoring junior staff
*Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Skills
*Proficient in Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) and/or SAS DataFlux
*Programming experience in modern programming languages such as Java, C++, SAS, Python
*Knowledge and experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
*Proven ability to lead team, projects, and initiatives
*Support and train users on the new solution as needed
*Experience in data analysis, data visualization, data science, or data mining
*Experience in relational database structures, ETL, data visualization workflow/automation and application development
*Understanding of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network/communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, and application development
*Experience with Splunk, MicroStrategy, and Tableau
*Experience in data analysis, data visualization, data science, or data mining
