The Office of Admissions in George Mason Universityâ€™s College of Education and Human Development is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Admissions Assistant to provide administrative support for the summer in a temporary wage position. Working hours are between 8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Review of applications will begin immediately and the position will remain open until filled. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Providing support for marketing and outreach initiatives, including event preparation, social media, and communication projects * Greeting and providing superb customer service to prospective students in person, by phone, or via email * Administrative and clerical projects, including copying, filing, and mailing campaigns Required Qualifications: * Keen attention to detail * The ability to work as a member of a team * Superior communication skills * Must be comfortable working with culturally and ethnically diverse populations and college students of all ages, and be able to handle sensitive and/or confidential information and circumstances Preferred Qualifications: * Flexible schedule * The ability to balance multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment * Prior experience in a university admissions office * Students within the College of Education and Human Development are encouraged to apply
