Human Resources Senior Manager
Overview The Senior Human Resource Manager serves in a highly visible role as a strategic partner to the Homeland Security Sector President and other leadership team members, and is responsible for defining, developing, and implementing human resources initiatives within the assigned sector consistent with Peraton's strategic goals. The Sr. HR Manager will report to the SVP, CHRO and will be based in our Herndon, VA headquarters. Responsibilities Provides Human Resources leadership and guidance to support HR service delivery within the Sector. Ensures HR programs are effectively aligned to support the client organization. Manages recurring HR processes such as performance reviews, compensation planning, and employee relations. Partners with senior leadership and provides strategic HR insight to a variety of business challenges. Collaborates to anticipate business requirements and develop strategic plans to influence and support the achievement of current and future objectives. Delivers HR updates/briefings to senior leadership. Provides guidance on business unit restructure, workforce planning and change management. Drives a culture of performance, results and positive employee relations. Creates effective employee relations and retention programs. Coach leaders in effective and proactive talent management and development of strong leaders Diagnoses business needs and leverages systems and frameworks to implement solutions to continually improve organizational performance and enable the business to improve execution. Support the broader HR community on additional projects (system implementations, continuous process improvement initiatives, etc.) Maintain a working knowledge of relevant regulatory issues, federal and state laws and regulations and company policies in order to counsel leadership about the long-range impacts and mitigate company risk. Qualifications REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (Master's degree preferred). Will typically have 12 or more years of relevant experience including 7+ years of leading teams or projects. Must have broad HR expertise and strong business acumen.Demonstrated experience developing plans and executing across organizations with geographically dispersed workforce.Leadership, influence, executive coaching, teamwork and organizational development skillsStrong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; ability to create and deliver briefings to executives.Ability to think strategically, provide direction, manage multiple projects and execute in a dynamic environmentAbility to diagnose and support data-driven decision-making.Experience supporting Service Contract Act employees with understanding of the compensation and benefits compliance requirements.
