Job Family US-MD-Owings MillsPOSTING DESCRIPTIONAon is looking for a Fiduciary AccountantKey Accountabilities:* Manage preparation and completion of quarterly, month-end and mid-month client money reporting requirements to the required deadlines* Review and approval of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis of fiduciary balances* Instigate project-based work designed to improve processes and controls with the approval Fiduciary Accounting Manager* Ensure the appropriate deployment of internal controls in co-ordination with the SOx manager, internal audit and compliance* Establish strong working relationships with external and internal audit, Treasury, and regulatory law & compliance teams (ie Ellen Perle, Judy Etheredge)* Develop a thorough understanding of Aon s broking systems and ACS / PASC handoffs* Review and ensure the integrity of all trade and fiduciary intercompany reporting and journal processing* Oversee investigation and reporting of Premium Fund Trust Account (PFTA) Rules breaches* Work with the business to improve the quality, accuracy and timeliness of information requests and reports* Work collaboratively with the US Risk Controllership, North American Finance Center and other teams within the organization to complete tasks and activities more effectively* Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon PLC s Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon PLC s policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group CompanyEducationBachelors DegreeExperience and Knowledge:* Experience in audit, accounting and reporting preferred* Experience of Insurance or Brokerage industry is preferred but not essential* Experience of following with US Department of Insurance Premium Fund Trust Account (PFTA) Rules, Minimum Record Requirements, and Fiduciary Requirements Calculation.
