TKM professionals keep in touch with the current conditions and breaking developments in the marketplace through regular contact with PwC professionals in our practice offices, NTS subject matter specialists, and national Q&RM.TKM Professionals work with and administer most, if not all, of TKM's technology tools and platforms, which support the national Tax practices.This will include administering the Firm's 1) external publishing platform for newsletters; 2) tax technical Knowledge systems; 3) ideas and service offering database/platform; 4) knowledge repository and related web tools; 5) internal tax news platform; and 6) other technology tools.The administration would include updated and inputting content in the various systems, importing/exporting and manipulating large volumes of data to generate the needed reports/metrics, processing and publishing through defined workflows Knowledge for internal and external use as well as re-designing micro-sites and other similar tools.Position/Program RequirementsMinimum Years of Experience: 5Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in AccountingCertification(s) Required: CPA, Enrolled Agent or Member of the BarDegree(s) Preferred: Juris Doctorate with Accounting or Tax, or Master's degree in TaxationKnowledge Preferred:Thorough knowledge in the development of tax knowledge management (TKM) content, development of tax service offerings from idea to implementation, the formulation and application of sales and distribution strategies, the creation and implementation of practice-wide presentations through Learning&Education programs and designing enhancements to TKM tools.Skills Preferred:Comprehensive technical skills including, managing the process of conducting technical research and writing for tax technical service offerings (including whitepapers and other practice aids), managing the development of tax service offerings from idea to implementation, the formulating and applying sales and distribution strategies, experienced using technical tools including CCH, Tax Analysts, RIA Checkpoint, BNA, and Westlaw and a clear technical understanding of changes in tax laws.Thorough knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Adobe Acrobat.Considerable experience identifying and addressing client needs: building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.Considerable experience as a team leader: supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust; seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.The enactment of tax reform is driving a need for experienced and motivated tax professionals. The new law and its after-effects provide interested professionals with unique opportunities.The International Tax Services Knowledge&Insight (K&I) group within Tax Knowledge Management is responsible for assessing, developing and communicating issues and ideas relevant to the International Tax Services (ITS) practice and its clients.In addition, the K&I group is responsible for obtaining, managing and sharing ITS-relevant knowledge within the ITS (and broader Tax practices where appropriate) via Tax Source. The candidate will leverage Tax Source to effectively and creatively share the aforementioned knowledge, plus tools, resources, and other helpful information with the ITS practice. These responsibilities have multiplied with tax reform.This is a non-client service position, and will involve interaction with ITS leadership, WNTS subject matter specialists (SMSs), the International Tax Desks (NY), Tax Q&RM, and ITS practice office professionals.This role will also participate in developing solutions delivery tools and in shaping how the ITS practice goes to market. The successful candidate might be asked to conduct technical research and writing to help develop, analyze, and share technical practice aids (eg, whitepapers, slide decks, etc.), service offerings and thought leadership with PwC's ITS Tax practitioners (both within the US and across the global network).The successful candidate will also be responsible for keeping abreast of new or developing technical issues, developments in the marketplace and changes in tax laws through regular contact with PwC tax practitioners, reviewing articles in the tax press, and attending local and national calls, meetings, etc.DUTIES:Review daily tax press for items of relevance to ITS practice for drafting alerts and Insights and potentially including in the K&I Weekly newsletterParticipate in various calls and meetings with ITS leadership, WNTS SMSs, International Tax Desks (NY), Tax Q&RM, Tax Knowledge Management, and ITS practice office professionals (US and foreign)Review Insights from the International Tax Desks, non-US practices, etc.Draft or review internal K&I communications and external ITS publications while liaising with technical resources, the International Tax Desks, and Q&RMCoordinate internal and external ITS webcasts and assist with L&D or trainings as necessaryOversee and maintain ITS Tax Source homepage and specialty pages including driving submissions from the practice and assisting with review and redaction of contentAssist in coordinating the Global Structuring practice (ITS, M&A and TP)Assist in fostering a teaming and knowledge sharing culture for ITS under the one firm umbrella.Develop Tax Source content, such as SMS videos and ITS initiatives
