Overview 14 West, an Agora company, is looking for an Entry-Level Recruiter/Talent Sourcer to join its Talent Acquisition team and manage the beginning stages of the recruiting process. One of the challenges we must overcome when deciding to hire new talent is identifying the talent itself and touching it more quickly than was ever needed before. And so this person will fill a critical void on our team and bring us one step closer to matching the right kind of talent as quickly as possible with our clients at The Agora. The 14 West Talent Team supports more than 20 Agora companies in finding and attracting the talent they need in the areas of digital marketing, media, creative and design, copywriting, editorial and technology. The Agora is comprised of more than 800 professionals in Baltimore that enjoy some of the top workplaces in the city, according to The Baltimore Sun. In fact, in 2017, five Agora companies were recognized by The Sun as Top Workplaces, and The Agora's Mount Vernon Campus was featured in the Baltimore Business Journal's online Cool Digs column. In this role, you'll support a team of experienced recruiters whose main priority is to meet (and exceed) the hiring needs of their clients. They manage large requisition loads, attend industry events and conferences, consult and train managers on best practices, and create and build relationships with some of the most sought out talent and thought leaders in the industry, and they're looking for someone who will help them lock down the talent they need for their clients before anyone else gets to them. Responsibilities Coordinate with recruiters to determine position requirements. Proactively identify candidates that match a desired skill set for current or future job openings at The Agora and help us fill our vacancies with qualified employees. Use various social and professional channels with a targeted approach to contact and meet passive candidates, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Slack, Reddit, Github, online discussion groups, referral databases, networking events and other sourcing tools that are effective in reaching the passive candidate. Responsible for creating the sourcing strategy in collaboration with recruiters, proactively identifying and engaging with candidates to fill a current or future need. Engage with candidates through social media, email telephone conversations and conduct initial phone screens before sending off to recruiters for interviewing and dispositioning. Maintain and build candidate database and talent pipelines for active and future needs. Measure conversion rates, including numbers of passive candidates who turn into applicants, get invited to interviews, get offers and get hired. Ask for referrals from current employees and external networks. Promote our employer brand online and offline. Communicate with past applicants regarding new job opportunities. Qualifications Undergraduate degree preferred. Proven work experience as a Talent Sourcer or similar role. Some staffing agency experience preferred. Experience recruiting for digital marketing, media, creative services, and development a HUGE plus. Strong working knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter tools (preferably LinkedIn Recruiter Certified). Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (eg recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings). Fierce networking skills, especially at live events and through social media. Ability to prioritize and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, all while being highly customer focused and collaborative. Ability to manage multiple requisitions and manage shifting priorities with minimal supervision. Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and Candidate Management Systems (CMSs). Solid verbal and written communication skills. Ability to positively present our company and open roles to potential candidates. Effective time-management skills. Ability to work closely and communicate with experienced recruiters, with the ability to adapt sourcing strategy to changing needs and demands of the business.
