Brand Manager, Marketing Summary PenFed is hiring a Brand Manager, Marketing in our McLean, Virginia headquarters. The primary purpose of this job is to drive strategy, development and execution of marketing initiatives to support product verticals and the overall PenFed brand. Develop the overall product marketing strategy that incorporates consumer insights, situational analysis, and competitive research used across multiple channels to reach PenFed's goals and drive brand growth Maintain expert-level understanding of the full marketing mix, demonstrate an ability to adapt to new markets, and can adjust to changes in market dynamics and competitive landscapes. Manage the budget, forecasting, and reconciliation for specific brand/product vertical and projects. Serve as the liaison between the product teams, compliance, internal creative marketing services, and external partners to develop and execute projects. Manage full execution of communications including direct mail campaigns, email campaigns, signage, collateral, mass advertising (print, social, digital, TV, radio) and event materials to meet defined goals Manage agencies to deliver best in class creative executions, analyze and reports on campaign effectiveness Work closely with cross functional teams, including PR, web and UX team, procurement, compliance and legal to ensure consistency, accuracy and alignment on all brand efforts. Support branch and merger efforts through campaign and media support Demonstrated ability to produce creative ideas and elicit creative ideas from others Leads meetings, presentations, task-forces, and marketing communications for product initiatives and assigned projects May travel/attend PenFed sponsored Events which require representation and/or marketing materials Assist with other marketing department projects as needed. Responsible for delivering against a range of KPIs to drive awareness, consideration, and volume. Work closely with cross-functional teams and business units to execute plans and ensure all marketing initiatives align with PenFed's overall brand look, voice and feel. Education and Experience Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. MBA or Master's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or related field required. Demonstrated marketing & strategic analysis skills with an ability to map an understanding of business drivers. Expertise in marketing strategy and project management principles and practices Strong writer and ability to build presentations, strong leadership skills, with ability to lead meetings and present to senior level management and ability to conduct research, report on findings. Excellent communications, conflict management, and negotiation skills Must possess a strong work ethic and be an enthusiastic team player Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively, prioritize, and meet deadlines Experience in financial services industry a plus Supervisory Responsibility This position will not supervise employees. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.* Travel Limited travel to various worksites is required.
