SUMMARY The International Business Development position holds the key responsibilities of being the primary contact for new business and generating opportunities for new federal and other types of contracts for the International Sector of Cherokee Nation Businesses' Federal Solutions Division. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following: Work with supervisor to develop a sales plan, goals, strategies, budget, etc. Produce new contract opportunities and corresponding capture plans that ultimately lead to the successful generation of new, profitable business for the sector. Develop projections for monthly, weekly and daily sales contacts. Utilize company sales contact system (eg, Sales Force) and develop processes for system contacts, customer follow-up's, customer screening, etc. Provide weekly reporting on progress of sales. Become involved in local network organizations. Develop and manage marketing/sales material. Maintains good communication with the client, supervisor and peers within the organization to ensure positive and negative feedback is communicated. Serves as customer liaison, listening and understanding the customer issues and problems, providing a solution if possible, and following through on all promises. Research, identify and execute the opportunities in appropriate market. Develop and incorporate the expansion strategy and plan for company. Manage company's international resources and promote overall brand awareness. Work with multi-function departments to establish goals between customers/clients. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY No direct supervisory/management authority. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to drive business sales and profit growth on a global basis. Strong analytical skills. Ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams and across multiple functions and disciplines. Ability to multi-task and handle large workloads under time constraints. Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Results-oriented with strong process and execution skills. Willingness to work during non-regular hours with the international team. Willingness to frequently travel especially internationally and the ability to respect and adapt to different cultures. Intermediate to Advanced computer skills (MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point). Well networked within local organizations. Become comfortable with technical terms and uses for services provided by the company. Customer oriented, self-disciplines, and results focused. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment. Travel both domestically and internationally will be required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field with five to ten years of related experience with federal government clients and conducting business overseas.
