The Systems Engineer position is responsible for assisting with the overall management of this company's HQ and branch Local Area Network (LAN) environment. This includes effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of virtual and physical systems hardware/software and related infrastructure at both headquarters and remote branch locations. Specifically, this includes provisioning and management of the following systems: Citrix XenApp published application environment, Altiris Client mgmt suite for inventory and software deployment, group policy mgmt/configuration, wireless AP support, anti-virus software, and ATM/ITM deployment and support. The System Administrator will also be responsible for managing and assisting with resolution of all trouble tickets received at both the client/technical support and escalated system engineering support queue levels. This individual will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the existing infrastructure, as well as adhering to change control process documentation and incident response processes, and is included in on-call responsibilities during off-hours support.Major Duties Est. % of Time45%Assist with the day to day operations to troubleshoot/resolve client-side issues and act as primary for ticket queue management. Ensures all data and systems are secured. Ensures all LAN/WAN server based hardware and software applications are available and functional at all times for the end-user environments. Provide for ongoing systems monitoring and maintenance to meet pre-negotiated service level requirements.30%Tier 2 support of the Citrix environment, including Citrix application availability and printing environment.
