The candidate will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining proprietary networks to support operational data movement. The engineer will also be responsible for ensuring the networks are designed and built to the highest security standards. In addition, the engineer will work with a team of other similarly focused engineers and non-technical partners across the organization.1. Experience with networking Linux and/or BSD systems to include system administration.2. Proficient with multiple network protocols to include iPv4, and iPv6, TCP, UDP, TLS, and OpenVPN etc.3. Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Ruby.4. Proficient with network encryption application and protocols.5. Plans network layouts and configures systems to user environments.6. Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.7. Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.8. May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.9. May perform network administration duties.10. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel and may have supervisory responsibilities.11. Serves as technical team or task leader.12. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.13.
