Perform on-site periodic internal audits of company contract operations to evaluate compliance with Company and Government policies and procedures related to financial and student data (program) integrity. 1. Apply accepted audit procedures to test for fraud and abuse, adequacy of internal controls, compliance with policies/procedures and allowability of costs. 2. Complete audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings. Appraise the adequacy of the internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires. Conduct desk audits, where applicable, of relevant documents prior to scheduled site visits to identify areas requiring targeted audit testing vs. random sampling. 3. Audit testing for compliance with financial systems and procedures will primarily focus on practices in Finance, Purchasing, Receiving, Property, Human Resources, Student Records and F&A. 4. Program integrity audit testing will include the analysis, accuracy and integrity of CIS data, student accountability, compliance with requirements for TABE, TAR's, HSE/HSD, WBL and placement activities. 5. Effectively communicate audit findings with Center Management to increase understanding of the procedural and internal control environment. Submit timely written reports of internal audit results and findings to Corporate Management. 6. Assist Company Management in the review and continued improvement of the audit guide to meet the objectives to attain financial and data integrity standards established by the Company and the Government. 7. Conduct target audits as requested and defined by Company Management. Participate in relevant Company training and technical assistance workgroups. 8. Assist in the development of Company policies, procedures and technical guides related to improved compliance with standards and procedures. 9. Perform other duties as assigned. Extensive travel required. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Bachelor Degree with equivalent/pertinent experience in Business and Accounting. Prefer 3 years of experience in Accounting/Auditing or Accounting/Job Corps. Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of computerized accounting software packages.
