POSITION DESCRIPTION Title: Configuration Management Specialist II Location: Suitland, MD Summary: Paradyme Management is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to join a growing and active team. The CM Specialist will be part of a CM team creating a CM Center of Excellence working closely with various development teams, delivery teams, and systems administrators to streamline the build and integration and Release Management processes and introduce automation as appropriate. The CM also establishes controls and processes around these functions as well as maintains configuration baselines and seek automation to enable efficient processes. Responsibilities: . Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Engineering (all), or Computer Science . Implements Configuration Management processes and procedures by establishing and maintaining the integrity of work products using configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. . Creates, maintains, follows, and enforces CM policies and procedures. Leverages COTS CM tools to manage configuration items. . Ensures that Release Management processes are adhered to and are appropriately linked to the Systems Development Life Cycle, with touch points ensuring seamless and traceable delivery of code and configuration work to higher environments.Qualifications: . Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Engineering (all), or Computer Science . At least 5-7 years hands-on Configuration Management experience Experience with coordination of a CM service across the enterprise and development of Software Version Management processes, policies and procedures to ensure environment stability and integrity Experience with providing way to baseline application code and manage changes and tasks for implementing software changes Demonstrated ability to ensure the proper baseline identification of configuration items, perform periodic audits and provide verification of version release configuration items Has had experience ensuring that changes to the process methods and processes have been taken through the approval processes, communicated and managed throughout the CM process Has tracked all problems and changes in release reports and documents highlighting any changes made through software and current configuration . Implement standards and processes to ensure that all CM procedures/designs are produced with proper integrity, performance, and quality . Product development life cycle knowledge in CM arena; eg release, packaging of application code, scripts/deliverables, documentation, version control etc. . Experience with Configuration Management and Release Management tools . Experience using SBM, SVN, GIT, Jenkins and HP ALM a plus . Experience of working as configuration manager in client environment is desired. Physical Demands Good communication skills are a must. Ability to communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Clearance Requirement: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance. This requires residence in the United States for the past three years.
